Given its popularity and appeal to people of all ages, we have concentrated on helping you listen to radio on the BBC’s iPlayer service.

You’ll need:

  • a computer with an internet connection
  • internal or external speakers.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to listen to internet radio through iPlayer

Step 1: Go to bbc.co.uk/iplayer and click on Radio at the top of the screen. This will take you to the radio section of BBC’s iPlayer site.

Step 2: There are numerous ways to find the programme you are looking for. If you want to listen to something on a specific BBC radio station, just click on it’s logo on the left-hand side of the webpage. Alternatively, you can search, browse by programme name, category or even by day if you want to listen to something and know which day it was originally broadcasted.

Click on the programme name once you have found the one you would like to listen to.

Step 3: Once the page loads, you will see a large image in the centre of the screen. Make sure your speakers are turned on or headphones plugged into your computer, and click on the ‘Play’ triangle on the far left-hand side of the large image to start listening to your radio show.
